Artist Felicia Olin painted “Blushing Lincoln” as a whimsical take on the 16th president. Living in Springfield most of her life, she’s seen all sorts of Lincoln paintings and wanted to create an image of Lincoln that was storybook-like. Another of her Lincoln paintings, “Vachel Lindsay’s Lincoln,” can be seen on a huge fiberglass hat outside the Illinois State Museum. Her art can be found at FeliciaOlin.com and is available for sale at both Prairie Art Alliance’s Gallery II and at the HD Smith Gallery inside the Hoogland Center for the Arts. See also
